PGDM Selection Process in Great Lakes Gurgaon

The selection process for the Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) program at Great Lakes Institute of Management Gurgaon (GLIM Gurgaon) may vary from year to year. As of my last update in September 2021, the general selection process for the PGDM program at Great Lakes Gurgaon included the following stages:

Entrance Exam Score: Candidates are required to appear for one of the accepted entrance exams, which may include CAT (Common Admission Test), XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test), GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test), or CMAT (Common Management Admission Test). The institute considers the overall percentile or score obtained in these exams for the selection process.

Shortlisting: Based on the entrance exam scores, candidates are shortlisted for the next stage of the selection process. The shortlisting criteria may include a minimum cutoff percentile or score set by the institute.

Written Ability Test (WAT) or Essay Writing: Shortlisted candidates are typically required to participate in a Written Ability Test or write an essay on a given topic. This stage assesses the candidate’s written communication skills and analytical thinking.

Group Discussion (GD): Candidates who clear the WAT or essay writing stage may then participate in a Group Discussion. In the GD, candidates are grouped together and given a topic for discussion. Personal Interview (PI): After the GD, candidates who perform well are invited for a Personal Interview. The PI is conducted to assess various aspects of the candidate, including their personality, motivation, work experience (if any), and alignment with the institute’s values.

Final Selection: The final selection is based on the overall performance of the candidate in the entrance exam, WAT/essay writing, GD, and PI. The institute also considers the candidate’s academic performance, work experience (if applicable), and other relevant factors.

Offer of Admission: Candidates who are selected through the entire process are offered admission to the PGDM program at Great Lakes Gurgaon.
